Thank you for choosing Flow Money ("we," "us," "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. This policy applies to all information collected through our mobile application ("App").

This policy is written to comply with the requirements of the Google Play Store and applicable data protection laws. Please read it carefully.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND WHY? #

We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve the App's functionality. The data we collect can be categorized as follows:

a) Information You Provide to Us

This is data you actively enter into the App.

Data Type Examples Purpose of Collection
Identity & Contact Data Name, email address. To create and secure your account, provide customer support, and communicate important service-related notices.
Authentication Data Username, encrypted password. To verify your identity and secure your account against unauthorized access.
Financial Data Income, expenses, transaction details, account/wallet names and balances, budget information, financial goals, investment details (stock symbols, quantities, prices), and subscription details. This is the core data for the App's functionality. We use it to enable you to track your finances, manage budgets, monitor investments, generate reports, and use all other financial management features.
Business Data Business name, contact info, inventory details (product names, costs, quantities), sales invoices, and customer details (names, credit/debt info). To provide business management features, including inventory control, sales tracking, invoicing, and customer account management.

b) Information Collected Automatically #

We do not collect personal data automatically. App functionality, such as analytics, is handled by third-party services as described in Section 3.

c) Device Permissions #

To provide certain features, the App may request your permission to access device components or data.

Permission Purpose
Camera To allow you to scan barcodes for inventory management or QR codes for data entry. We do not access your camera or photos at any other time. Usage is initiated entirely by you.

2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION? #

Our primary purpose for using your information is to deliver the high-quality financial management service you expect. Specifically, we use it:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate all core features of the App, from transaction logging and report generation to data backup and restore.
  • To Manage Your Account: To handle your registration, authenticate you when you log in, and ensure the security of your account.
  • To Communicate With You: To respond to your support requests, provide assistance, and send you important updates or security alerts.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: To enforce our terms and policies and to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

3. WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE? #

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We only share your data with trusted service providers under specific circumstances necessary for the App's operation.

These services include:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Authentication: We use Firebase (a Google company) for secure user authentication and cloud data storage (Firestore). This allows for secure data backup, restore, and synchronization across devices. Your data is stored in a secure, access-controlled environment.   • Financial Data Providers: To fetch real-time stock prices for the investment portfolio feature, we send stock ticker symbols to a Stock API Service. No personal or account information that could identify you is shared with this service.

We may also disclose your information if we are legally required to do so to comply with applicable law, a governmental request, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

4. DATA SECURITY #

We take the security of your data very seriously and implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect it. These measures include:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our cloud services is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Data stored in our cloud database is also encrypted at rest.
  • Local Storage: Your data is stored in a secure, private database on your device.
  • Access Controls: We use passcode and device-native biometric authentication (fingerprint, face ID) to prevent unauthorized access to the App on your device. We do not collect or store your biometric data ourselves.
  • Secure Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication, a secure and industry-standard service, to manage user login and password protection.

5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION #

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services and as long as your account is active.

Your Right to Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can request data deletion through one of the following methods:

  • In-App Feature: Navigate to the "Settings" -> "Account" -> "Delete Account" section within the App. This is the fastest way to permanently delete your data.
  • Email Request: Send an email to us at support@azfad.org with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request in accordance with applicable laws.

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently and irrevocably remove your personal data from our live systems. Data may remain in secure, encrypted backup archives for a limited period (e.g., up to 90 days) before being permanently deleted.

6. YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS #

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access: You can request copies of your personal data.
  • The right to rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, as detailed in Section 5.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions. The App's CSV export feature facilitates this right.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS #

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, where our third-party service providers (like Google Firebase) maintain servers. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. We take steps to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY #

The App is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY #

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last updated" date. We will notify you of any material changes either through the App or by other means, giving you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective.
